- I’m just too much a coward to admit when I’m in need. (Take A Walk lyrics)
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiEwJTOderQ (Carried Away music video)
- I never wanna hurt you baby / I’m just a mess with a name and a price. (Constant Conversations lyrics)
- No one’s gonna tell you when enough’s enough / Enough’s always too tough. (Cry Like A Ghost lyrics)
- *his angelic vocals in the song On My Way*
- hideaway, hideaway / where they’ll never say you cannot stay / come and play, my hideaway / someday everything will be okay. (Hideaway Lyrics)
- *Two Veils To Hide My Face is one of the most beautiful short-interlude-type songs I have ever heard*
- There’s a beauty in being alone. // If we really love ourselves, how do you love somebody else?(Love is Greed Lyrics)
- The next song is literally called “It’s Not My Fault, I’m Happy”…so clearly is brilliant and will give you chills.
- It’s funny being funny makes you feel like up and running / when your past lingers like rain clouds casting shadows below. // It’s not my fault, I’m happy. Don’t call me crazy, I’m happy. (It’s Not My Fault, I’m Happy lyrics)
- *Where We Belong is…just like almost unbearable to listen to*
- Who says you ought to stay? How’s this the easier way? It’s far from giving up. Cowards never say enough is enough. // All the things you can’t control should never destroy the love one holds. I found a place, I found a place, I found a place where we belong. (Where We Belong Lyrics)
The point is here is that this album literally could bring me to tears and I feel like it’s a shame if other people aren’t enjoying it too so if you haven’t listened to it I’d really REALLY recommend it. And then you could also listen to or read some of the interviews with Michael Angelakos that give background on it. It’s really intense but also beautiful? This post sort of had to be made after Katie and I spent a large portion of our drive home from Toronto last night freaking out about how this album is.
